After three years and a day of teaching public school in New Jersey, I am tenured. To celebrate, my colleagues made a tenure tunnel for me and the two colleagues who had also earned tenure. Tonight, Greg took me out for a seafood dinner at one of our favorite restaurants, The Barge in Perth Amboy.
The restaurant on the revitalized Perth Amboy Waterfront overlooks the Raritan Bay and tonight the water was filled with sailboats and barges. We had this view from our table. (You can still see a bit of damage on the sidewalk from Hurricane Sandy.)
I could not have achieved this career milestone without my always supportive husband. My success is as much his as mine. Thanks, handsome!
