Theme Thursday: Girls

I grew up in a family of three girls and a boy, so my childhood home leaned to the feminine side.
At home now, it's me and my husband and our two sons. I am, as a friend who is the mother of four sons says "a rose among thorns." So the girls in my life are not my own, but rather, my godchildren. Here they are: Abbey, Alicia, Becca, Carmelinia, Dorsey-Camila, Francesca and Katherine!

Aren't they fabulous?!

The beauty of a girl cannot be mimicked, fabricated, or created by human means, it only occurs naturally.

  1. Allison, I have found a real gift in the family of one of my goddaughters--I'm Auntie Shannon to both the girls (now in college)-- Probably the best sign is that when I call their house, I end up talking with any one of the four. It's been a long lovely friendship of more than 20 years, and it more than makes up for the hole that biological family can be!
