A Commencement Speaker Tells It As It Is: "You Are Not Special"
"Despite every assurance......you are nothing special...The empirical evidence is everywhere...."
Oh I wish all children, and all of us, could hear this Wellesley High School teacher's speech.
We fear our mortality, so we want to feel special.
"Be worthy of your advantages...Dream big. Work hard...
Get up. Get out...The fulfilled life is what happens when you are thinking about other things."
